Beginning Band/Intro to Band
2018-2019 Beginning Band at iT'Z
The Beginning Band is made up of students in the Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, and Percussion classes and consists of students primarily in the 6th grade. Students obtain membership in this yearlong course following a placement interview with the band directors. Members of the Beginning Band give five performances throughout the year including Winter Recital, Mid-Term and Spring Concerts, Picnic in the Park, and a spring festival. Members of the Beginning Band are expected to participate in the Solo Contest.
Mr. Matthew Hiller and Miss Jacqueline Ruddick co-teach the the beginning Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba classes.
Mr. Matt Bibb teaches the beginning Percussion class.
