Tuning
Great musicians practice with a tuner. A tuner is a tool that tells you how you are playing a specific pitch relative to a defined frequency. That may sound complicated, but it is really easy.

How do I use it?
- Set the Tuner to 440 HZ.
- Play a note. (The note that shows on the tuner is in "Concert pitch").
- The goal is to get the tuner to point to "0."
- If you are tuning your instrument, you can make adjustments. If you are sharp (+), pull out. If you are flat (-), push in.
- If you have already tuned your instrument, you must adjust by bending the pitch. This is different depending on the instrument, so ask a band director for this.
